When Arrital unveiled Ak_Project in 2024, it was clear the brand had created something special. But the 2025 evolution — Ak_Project Circle — didn't just build on that success; it redefined what a kitchen can be.
Designed by Franco Driusso, Ak_Project Circle introduces a series of patented innovations that transform the kitchen from a purely functional space into a fluid, welcoming environment. And the design world took notice.
🏆 An Award-Winning Debut
In November 2025, at a ceremony held in Milan's Superstudio Più, Ak_Project Circle was named winner of the prestigious Archiproducts Design Award 2025 in the "Kitchen" category. The award, now in its tenth edition, has become a benchmark for the international design community.
The jury — composed of world-renowned architects and designers — was impressed by how Ak_Project Circle flawlessly combines ergonomics and functionality with a bold new aesthetic language. This marked the second consecutive year an Arrital kitchen received this honour, following the success of the original Ak_Project system in 2024.
🔵 The Signature: Circle Modules
So what makes Ak_Project Circle so special? The answer lies in its name. The new patented Circle modules introduce harmonious curves to bases, columns, and wall units, creating a softer, more welcoming visual effect.
Key features include:
- Perfect Curves: A precisely calibrated 10 cm outer radius ensures seamless connections between modules, creating a continuous, fluid composition.
- Curved Pull-Out Baskets: These ingenious baskets maximise every centimetre of space, fitting perfectly within the rounded end units without any wasted area.
- Backlit Curved Columns: Technical elements are transformed into elegant focal points with backlit curved doors that add depth and atmosphere.
- Open Curved Compartments: Refined open niches in the curves combine aesthetics with practical, everyday storage.
As homes evolve and kitchens become increasingly integrated with living spaces, Ak_Project Circle responds with a design language that flows naturally from one area to the next. This isn't just about aesthetics — it's about creating a space that adapts to contemporary life.
Franco Driusso explains the vision behind the project:
"With the Circle modules, we reinterpreted the concept of modularity, introducing more fluid forms and an even more ergonomic design, adding extra functionality. This project represents our continuous search for innovation and functional beauty."
